2020-07-26powerpc/powernv/sriov: Move SR-IOV into a separate fileOliver O'Halloran1-0/+3
pci-ioda.c is getting a bit unwieldly due to the amount of stuff jammed in there. The SR-IOV support can be extracted easily enough and is mostly standalone, so move it into a separate file. This patch also moves the PowerNV SR-IOV specific fields from pci_dn and moves them into a platform specific structure. I'm not sure how they ended up in there in the first place, but leaking platform specifics into common code has proven to be a terrible idea so far so lets stop doing that. 2020-07-19powerpc: use the generic dma_ops_bypass modeChristoph Hellwig1-5/+0
Use the DMA API bypass mechanism for direct window mappings. This uses common code and speed up the direct mapping case by avoiding indirect calls just when not using dma ops at all. It also fixes a problem where the sync_* methods were using the bypass check for DMA allocations, but those are part of the streaming ops. Note that this patch loses the DMA_ATTR_WEAK_ORDERING override, which has never been well defined, as is only used by a few drivers, which IIRC never showed up in the typical Cell blade setups that are affected by the ordering workaround. To support "hybrid" DMA ops in a subsequent patch, we will need both a direct DMA offset and an iommu pointer. Those are currently exclusive (a union), so change them to be separate fields. While there, also type iommu_table_base properly and make exist only on CONFIG_PPC64 since it's not referenced on 32-bit at all. Currently, the PCI config accessors are implemented based on device node. Unfortunately, SRIOV VFs won't have the corresponding device nodes. pci_dn will be used in replacement with device node for SRIOV VFs. So we have to use pci_dn in PCI config accessors. The patch refactors pci_dn in following aspects to make it ready to be used in PCI config accessors as we do in subsequent patch: * pci_dn is organized as a hierarchy tree. PCI device's pci_dn is put to the child list of pci_dn of its upstream bridge or PHB. VF's pci_dn will be put to the child list of pci_dn of PF's bridge. * For one particular PCI device (VF or not), its pci_dn can be found from pdev->dev.archdata.pci_data, PCI_DN(devnode), or parent's list. The fast path (fetching pci_dn through PCI device instance) is populated during early fixup time. 2012-03-09powerpc/eeh: Introduce EEH deviceGavin Shan1-0/+3
Original EEH implementation depends on struct pci_dn heavily. However, EEH shouldn't depend on that actually because EEH needn't share much information with other PCI components. That's to say, EEH should have worked independently. The patch introduces struct eeh_dev so that EEH core components needn't be working based on struct pci_dn in future. Also, struct pci_dn, struct eeh_dev instances are created in dynamic fasion and the binding with EEH device, OF node, PCI device is implemented as well. The EEH devices are created after PHBs are detected and initialized, but PCI emunation hasn't started yet. Apart from that, PHB might be created dynamically through DLPAR component and the EEH devices should be creatd as well. Another case might be OF node is created dynamically by DR (Dynamic Reconfiguration), which has been defined by PAPR. For those OF nodes created by DR, EEH devices should be also created accordingly. The binding between EEH device and OF node is done while the EEH device is initially created. The binding between EEH device and PCI device should be done after PCI emunation is done. Besides, PCI hotplug also needs the binding so that the EEH devices could be traced from the newly coming PCI buses or PCI devices. 2011-09-20powerpc: Use the newly added get_required_mask dma_map_ops hookMilton Miller1-0/+2
Now that the generic code has dma_map_ops set, instead of having a messy ifdef & if block in the base dma_get_required_mask hook push the computation into the dma ops. If the ops fails to set the get_required_mask hook default to the width of dma_addr_t. This also corrects ibmbus ibmebus_dma_supported to require a 64 bit mask. I doubt anything is checking or setting the dma mask on that bus. Useful for architecture code that needs to keep extra data associated with each platform device. Struct pdev_archdata is different from dev.platform_data, the convention is that dev.platform_data points to driver-specific data. It may or may not be required by the driver. The format of this depends on driver but is the same across architectures. The structure pdev_archdata is a place for architecture specific data. This data is handled by architecture specific code (for example runtime PM), and since it is architecture specific it should _never_ be touched by device driver code. Exactly like struct dev_archdata but for platform devices.
