2012-04-01ASoC: imx: merge sound/soc/imx into sound/soc/fslShawn Guo1-0/+1
Freescale PowerPC and ARM/IMX families share the same SSI IP block. The patch merges sound/soc/imx into sound/soc/fsl, so that the possible code sharing and consolidation can happen. This is a plain merge, except that menuconfig SND_POWERPC_SOC is added in Kconfig for PowerPC platform as a correspondence to SND_IMX_SOC for IMX platform. 2012-03-16gpio: Move GE GPIO driver to reside within GPIO subsystemMartyn Welch3-0/+4
The GE GPIO driver provides basic support (set direction, read/write state) for the GPIO provided on some GE single board computers. This patch moves the driver from the 86xx specific platform directrory to the GPIO subsystem so that it can be used on non-86xx boards. Uwe Kleine-König reported: while working on an defconfig (arm/mx27) I noticed that just updating it[1] results in removing CONFIG_EEPROM_AT24=y. The reason is that since commit v2.6.36-5965-g5f2365d (misc devices: do not enable by default) MISC_DEVICES isn't enabled anymore by default. So all defconfigs that have CONFIG_SOME_SYMBOL=y (or =m) (with SOME_SYMBOL depending on MISC_DEVICES) but not CONFIG_MISC_DEVICES=y suffer from the same problem. This restores those misc devices to the powerpc defconfigs. 2011-01-20kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERTDavid Rientjes6-6/+6
The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than only small devices. This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc). Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they are making should enable it. Support for the FPGA based watchdog timer on GE Fanuc's SBC610. This patch enables one of the watchdog timers found on the SBC610. There are two identical watchdog timers at different offsets in the above mentioned boards, however the current driver is only capable of supporting one of them. The watchdog timers are also capable of generating interrupts at a user-configurable threshold, though support for this operation is currently not supported by the driver.
