2018-12-21powerpc/dts/fsl: Fix dtc-flagged interrupt errorsScott Wood4-130/+132
mpc8641_hpcn was updated to 4-cell interrupt specifiers, but PCI interrupt-map was not updated. It was also missing #interrupt-cells on the outer PCI buses. p1020rdb-pc was updated to 4-cell interrupt specifiers, but the ethernet-phy nodes weren't updated. mpc832x_rdb had an invalid "interrupts = <0>" on the ethernet-phy nodes. Besides being the wrong number of cells, 0 is not a valid IPIC interrupt according to ipic.c. Presumably it was meant to indicate that these PHYs are not connected to an interrupt. 2018-12-21powerpc/fsl: Use new clockgen bindingScott Wood22-409/+50
The driver retains compatibility with old device trees, but we don't want the old nodes lying around to be copied, or used as a reference (some of the mux options are incorrect), or even just being clutter. Several are user-visible changes, but bring us in to line with x86 behaviour and/or fix outright bugs. Thanks to Florian Weimer for reporting many of these. - A series to improve the hvc driver & related OPAL console code, which have been seen to cause hardlockups at times. The hvc driver changes in particular have been in linux-next for ~month. - Increase our MAX_PHYSMEM_BITS to 128TB when SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP=y. - Remove Power8 DD1 and Power9 DD1 support, neither chip should be in use anywhere other than as a paper weight. - An optimised memcmp implementation using Power7-or-later VMX instructions - Support for barrier_nospec on some NXP CPUs. - Support for flushing the count cache on context switch on some IBM CPUs (controlled by firmware), as a Spectre v2 mitigation. - A series to enhance the information we print on unhandled signals to bring it into line with other arches, including showing the offending VMA and dumping the instructions around the fault. 2018-01-21powerpc/boot/dts: Remove leading 0x and 0s from bindings notationMathieu Malaterre10-38/+38
Improve the DTS files by removing all the leading "0x" and zeros to fix the following dtc warnings: Warning (unit_address_format): Node /XXX unit name should not have leading "0x" and: Warning (unit_address_format): Node /XXX unit name should not have leading 0s Converted using the following command: find . -type f \( -iname *.dts -o -iname *.dtsi \) -exec sed -E -i -e "s/@0x([0-9a-fA-F\.]+)\s?\{/@\L\1 \{/g" -e "s/@0+([0-9a-fA-F\.]+)\s?\{/@\L\1 \{/g" {} + For simplicity, two sed expressions were used to solve each warnings separately. To make the regex expression more robust a few other issues were resolved, namely setting unit-address to lower case, and adding a whitespace before the the opening curly brace: https://elinux.org/Device_Tree_Linux#Linux_conventions This is a follow up to commit 4c9847b7375a ("dt-bindings: Remove leading 0x from bindings notation") Reported-by: David Daney <ddaney@caviumnetworks.com> Suggested-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Mathieu Malaterre <malat@debian.org> Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <mpe@ellerman.id.au>
2017-12-01powerpc: dts: P1010: Add endianness property to flexcan nodePankaj Bansal1-0/+2
The flexcan driver assumed that flexcan controller is big endian for powerpc architecture and little endian for other architectures. But this is not universally true. flexcan controller can be little or big endian on any architecture. Therefore the flexcan driver has been modified to check for "big-endian" device tree property for controllers that are big endian. consequently add the property to freescale P1010 SOC device tree. 2017-06-28powerpc/fsl: Add generic compatible string for I2C EEPROMJavier Martinez Canillas12-30/+30
The at24 driver allows to register I2C EEPROM chips using different vendor and devices, but the I2C subsystem does not take the vendor into account when matching using the I2C table since it only has device entries. But when matching using an OF table, both the vendor and device has to be taken into account so the driver defines only a set of compatible strings using the "atmel" vendor as a generic fallback for compatible I2C devices. So add this generic fallback to the device node compatible string to make the device to match the driver using the OF device ID table. 2016-07-22powerpc/dts: fix STMicroelectronics compatible stringsStefan Agner2-2/+2
Replace the non-standard vendor prefix stm and st-micro with st for STMicroelectronics. The drivers do not specify the vendor prefixes since the I2C Core strips them away from the DT provided compatible string. Therefore, changing existing device trees does not have any impact on device detection. Signed-off-by: Stefan Agner <stefan@agner.ch> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>

2016-07-08powerpc/86xx: Add support for Emerson/Artesyn MVME7100Alessio Igor Bogani1-0/+153
Add support for the Artesyn MVME7100 Single Board Computer. The MVME7100 is a 6U form factor VME64 computer with: - A two e600 cores Freescale MPC8641D CPU - 2 GB of DDR2 onboard memory - Four Gigabit Ethernets - Five 16550 compatible UARTs - One USB 2.0 port - Two PCI/PCI eXpress Mezzanine Card (PMC/XMC) Slots - A DS1375 Real Time Clock (RTC) - 512 KB of Non-Volatile Memory (NVRAM) - Two 64 KB EEPROMs - 128 MB NOR and 4/8 GB NAND Flash This patch is based on linux-4.7-rc1 and has been only boot tested. Limitations: This patch covers only models 171 and 173 No plans to support CPLD timers Know issues: All four PHYs work in polling mode Configuration is missing for: PCI IDSEL and PCI Interrupt definition Support is missing for: Cache and memory controllers (which are very similar to the 85xx ones but right now I don't know if we can re-use their support) Watchdog, USB, NVRAM, NOR, NAND, EEPROMs, VME, PMC/XMC and RTC Signed-off-by: Alessio Igor Bogani <alessio.bogani@elettra.eu> Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <oss@buserror.net>
