The NCM gadget got an endianness fix and the Ethernet gadget a frame size fix. We're finally removing the g_file_storage gadget and sticking to g_mass_storage and the new tcm_usb_gadget gadgets since that was a huge duplicaton of effort anyway. While removing g_file_storage, we also had to fix a bunch of defconfigs which were still pointing to the old gadget. There's a big series getting us closer to being able to introduce our configfs interface. The series converts functions into loadable modules which will, eventually, be registered to the configfs interface. Other than that there's the usual typo fixes and miscelaneous cleanups all over the place."

2012-10-22MIPS: Alchemy: use the OHCI platform driverFlorian Fainelli1-0/+1
Convert the Alchemy platform to register the ohci-platform driver, now that the ohci-platform driver properly handles the specific ohci-au1xxx resume from suspend case. This also greatly simplifies the power_{on,off} callbacks and make them work on platform device id instead of checking the OHCI controller base address like what was done in ohci-au1xxx.c. Impacted defconfigs are also updated accordingly to select the OHCI platform driver. This represents the mass deletion of the of the tokenring support. It gets rid of: - the net/tr.c which the drivers depended on - the drivers/net component - the Kbuild infrastructure around it - any tokenring related CONFIG_ settings in any defconfigs - the tokenring headers in the include/linux dir - the firmware associated with the tokenring drivers. - any associated token ring documentation. 2011-01-20kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERTDavid Rientjes1-1/+1
The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than only small devices. This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc). Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they are making should enable it. 2009-12-17MIPS: Fix and enhance built-in kernel command lineDmitri Vorobiev1-1/+1
Currently, MIPS kernels silently overwrite kernel command-line parameters hardcoded in CONFIG_CMDLINE by the ones received from firmware. Therefore, using firmware remains the only reliable method to transfer the command-line parameters, which is not always desirable or convenient, and the CONFIG_CMDLINE option is thereby effectively rendered useless. This patch fixes the problem described above and introduces a more flexible scheme of handling the kernel command line, in a manner identical to what is currently used for x86. The default behavior, i.e. when CONFIG_CMDLINE_BOOL is not defined, retains the existing semantics, and firmware command-line arguments override the hardcoded ones. 2009-06-15i2c/chips: Move max6875 to drivers/misc/eepromWolfram Sang1-1/+1
This driver only reads the user EEPROM of that chip, so we can move it to the eeprom-directory in order to further clean up (and later remove) drivers/i2c/chips. The Kconfig text was updated to match the current functionality, dropping the meanwhile obsoleted parts. Defconfigs have been adapted. The Qemu platform was originally implemented to have an easily supportable platform until Qemu reaches a state where it emulates a real world system. Since the latest release Qemu is capable of emulating the MIPSsim and Malta platforms, so this goal has been reached.
