2016-06-04char/genrtc: remove m68k supportArnd Bergmann1-1/+0
The asm/rtc.h header is only used for the old gen_rtc driver that has been replaced by rtc-generic. According to Geert Uytterhoeven, nobody has used the old driver on m68k for a long time, so we can now just remove the header file and disallow the driver in Kconfig. All files that used to include asm/rtc.h are now changed so they include the headers that were used implicitly through asm/rtc.h. 2013-11-26m68k/UAPI: Disintegrate arch/m68k/include/asm/bootinfo.hGeert Uytterhoeven1-0/+1
Export the bootinfo definitions that are used by bootstrap loaders, and split them up in generic and platform-specific parts. Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>
2013-11-26m68k: Mark functions only called from setup_arch() __initGeert Uytterhoeven1-5/+5
Some functions that are only called (indirectly) from setup_arch() lack __init annotations. Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>
2012-12-24m68k: set arch_gettimeoffset directlyStephen Warren1-5/+4
remove m68k's mach_gettimeoffset function pointer, and instead directly set the arch_gettimeoffset function pointer. This requires multiplying all function results by 1000, since the removed m68k_gettimeoffset() did this. Also, s/unsigned long/u32/ just to make the function prototypes exactly match that of arch_gettimeoffset. 2012-07-22m68k/apollo: Rename "timer" to "apollo_timer"Geert Uytterhoeven1-8/+8
In file included from include/linux/kgdb.h:17, from include/linux/fb.h:8, from drivers/video/dnfb.c:15: include/linux/serial_8250.h:71: error: expected identifier or ‘(’ before numeric constant include/linux/serial_8250.h:72: error: expected ‘;’ before ‘struct’ make[1]: *** [drivers/video/dnfb.o] Error 1 This is caused by #define timer (IO_BASE + timer_physaddr) in <asm/apollohw.h>, which conflicts with the new "timer" struct member in <linux/serial_8250.h>. Rename "timer" to "apollo_timer", as it's a way too generic name for a global #define. 2011-11-08m68k/irq: Remove obsolete support for user vector interrupt fixupsGeert Uytterhoeven1-1/+1

2011-11-08m68k/apollo: Convert Apollo to genirqGeert Uytterhoeven1-2/+23
Replace the custom user vector interrupt handler that calls do_IRQ() and does an EOI by handle_fasteoi_irq(). Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org> Cc: Peter De Schrijver <p2@debian.org>
2011-11-08m68k/irq: Rename {,__}m68k_handle_int()Geert Uytterhoeven1-1/+1
- Rename m68k_handle_int() to generic_handle_irq(), and drop the unneeded asmlinkage, - Rename __m68k_handle_int() to do_IRQ(). Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>
2011-11-08m68k/irq: Add m68k_setup_irq_controller()Geert Uytterhoeven1-1/+2
This is a wrapper around m68k_setup_irq_chip() that discards its dummy second parameter, to ease the future transition to genirq. Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>

2011-11-08m68k/irq: Rename irq_controller to irq_chipGeert Uytterhoeven1-6/+5
Make it more similar to the genirq version: - Remove lock (unused as we don't do SMP anyway), - Prepend methods with irq_, - Make irq_startup() return unsigned int. Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org> Acked-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de>
2009-01-12m68k: apollo core - Kill warn_unused_result warningsGeert Uytterhoeven1-1/+2

2009-01-12m68k: Kill several external declarations in source filesGeert Uytterhoeven1-4/+0
- Replace external declarations by proper includes where availiable. The accesses to some symbols had to be modified, as before they were declared using e.g. "extern int _end", while asm-generic/sections.h uses e.g. "extern char _end[]" - Remove unused or superfluous external declarations Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>

2006-10-09IRQ: Use the new typedef for interrupt handler function pointersDavid Howells1-3/+3
Use the new typedef for interrupt handler function pointers rather than actually spelling out the full thing each time. This was scripted with the following small shell script: #!/bin/sh egrep -nHrl -e 'irqreturn_t[ ]*[(][*]' $* | while read i do echo $i perl -pi -e 's/irqreturn_t\s*[(]\s*[*]\s*([_a-zA-Z0-9]*)\s*[)]\s*[(]\s*int\s*,\s*void\s*[*]\s*[)]/irq_handler_t \1/g' $i || exit $? done Signed-Off-By: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com>
2006-10-07[PATCH] m68k pt_regs fixesAl Viro2-8/+8
m68k_handle_int() split in two functions: __m68k_handle_int() takes pt_regs * and does set_irq_regs(); m68k_handle_int() doesn't get pt_regs *. Places where we used to call m68k_handle_int() recursively with the same pt_regs have simply lost the second argument, the rest is switched to __m68k_handle_int(). The rest of patch is just dropping pt_regs * where needed. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
