2012-12-19ARM: S5PV210: Avoid passing the clks through platform dataPadmavathi Venna1-16/+0
I2S controller has an internal mux for RCLK source clks. The list of source clk names were passed through platform data in non-dt case. The variable holding the list of RCLK source clk names is not required, as the list of clks need to be registered with clkdev using generic connection id. This is required as part of adding DT support for I2S controller driver. 2012-12-07ASoC: Samsung: Do not register samsung audio dma device as pdevPadmavathi Venna2-2/+0
Previously, the ASoC 'platform' (PCM/DMA) object was instantiated via a platform_device. This didn't represent the hardware well, since there was no separate hardware associated with this platform_device; it was a virtual device with sole purpose to call snd_soc_register_platform(). This change removes the platform_device completely. Each Samsung DAI now registers the ASoC 'platform' itself. Machine drivers are adjusted for the new 'platform' name. 2012-10-17ARM: SAMSUNG: Add naming of s3c64xx-spi devicesHeiko Stuebner1-0/+3
Commit a5238e360b71 (spi: s3c64xx: move controller information into driver data) introduced separate device names for the different subtypes of the spi controller but forgot to set these in the relevant machines. To fix this introduce a s3c64xx_spi_setname function and populate all Samsung arches with the correct names. The function resides in a new header, as the s3c64xx-spi.h contains driver platform data and should therefore at some later point move out of the Samsung include dir. Tested on a s3c2416-based machine. 2012-10-13ARM: config: sort select statements alphanumericallyRussell King1-25/+25
As suggested by Andrew Morton: This is a pet peeve of mine. Any time there's a long list of items (header file inclusions, kconfig entries, array initalisers, etc) and someone wants to add a new item, they *always* go and stick it at the end of the list. Guys, don't do this. Either put the new item into a randomly-chosen position or, probably better, alphanumerically sort the list. lets sort all our select statements alphanumerically. This commit was created by the following perl: while (<>) { while (/\\\s*$/) { $_ .= <>; } undef %selects if /^\s*config\s+/; if (/^\s+select\s+(\w+).*/) { if (defined($selects{$1})) { if ($selects{$1} eq $_) { print STDERR "Warning: removing duplicated $1 entry\n"; } else { print STDERR "Error: $1 differently selected\n". "\tOld: $selects{$1}\n". "\tNew: $_\n"; exit 1; } } $selects{$1} = $_; next; } if (%selects and (/^\s*$/ or /^\s+help/ or /^\s+---help---/ or /^endif/ or /^endchoice/)) { foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) { print "$selects{$k}"; } undef %selects; } print; } if (%selects) { foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) { print "$selects{$k}"; } } It found two duplicates: Warning: removing duplicated S5P_SETUP_MIPIPHY entry Warning: removing duplicated HARDIRQS_SW_RESEND entry and they are identical duplicates, hence the shrinkage in the diffstat of two lines. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-next usb: gadget: patches for v3.5 This pull request is quite big, but mainly because there's a giant rework of the s3c_hsotg.c driver to make it friendlier for other users. Samsung Exynos platforms use the DesignWare Core USB2 IP from Synopsys so it's a bit unfair to have the driver work for Samsung platforms only. In short, the big rework is in preparation to make the driver more reusable. Another big rework in this pull request came from Ido, where he's removing the redundant pointer for the endpoint descriptor from the controller driver's own endpoint representation. The same pointer is available through the generic struct usb_ep structure. Also on this pull request is the conversion of a few extra controller drivers to the new style registration, which allows multiple controllers to be available on the same platform and helps remove global pointers from those drivers. Together with those big changes, there's the usual fixes and cleanups to gadget drivers. Nothing major.

2012-04-24ARM: SAMSUNG: add missing MMC_CAP2_BROKEN_VOLTAGE capabilityMarek Szyprowski1-0/+2
Commit 6e8201f57c935 "mmc: core: add the capability for broken voltage" introduced a new quirk to indicate that MMC core should ignore voltage change errors reported by the regulators core. This is required to get SDHCI working on UniversalC210, NURI and GONI boards again after commit ceb6143b2df81c ("mmc: sdhci: fix vmmc handling"). We're trying to keep the number of board files low, but generally board level updates are ok on platforms that are working on moving towards DT based probing, which will eventually lead to removing them.
