2022-04-19ARM: pxa: split up mach/hardware.hArnd Bergmann1-1/+2
The mach/hardware.h is included in lots of places, and it provides three different things on pxa: - the cpu_is_pxa* macros - an indirect inclusion of mach/addr-map.h - the __REG() and io_pv2() helper macros Split it up into separate <linux/soc/pxa/cpu.h> and mach/pxa-regs.h headers, then change all the files that use mach/hardware.h to include the exact set of those three headers that they actually need, allowing for further more targeted cleanup. linux/soc/pxa/cpu.h can remain permanently exported and is now in a global location along with similar headers. pxa-regs.h and addr-map.h are only used in a very small number of drivers now and can be moved to arch/arm/mach-pxa/ directly when those drivers are to pass the necessary data as resources. 2016-02-01ARM: pxa: fix building without IWMMXTArnd Bergmann1-2/+4
When CONFIG_IWMMXT, the pxa3xx and pxa27x suspend/resume code emits some xscale specific instructions, which are rejected by the assembler, because gcc is built with -march=armv5 -mtune=xscale and passes that option to the assembler: /tmp/cciHumzr.s:553: Error: selected processor does not support ARM mode `mra r2,r3,acc0' /tmp/cciHumzr.s:605: Error: selected processor does not support ARM mode `mar acc0,r2,r3' make[3]: *** [arch/arm/mach-pxa/pxa3xx.o] Error 1 /tmp/cci5MUNu.s:326: Error: selected processor does not support ARM mode `mra r2,r3,acc0' /tmp/cci5MUNu.s:367: Error: selected processor does not support ARM mode `mar acc0,r2,r3' make[3]: *** [arch/arm/mach-pxa/pxa27x.o] Error 1 Overriding with -Wa,-march=xscale no longer works, so instead I'm adding an explict ".arch_extension" directive in all four inline assembly statements, which should work even if they end up in a different order in the assembly output. 2015-10-16ARM: pxa: remove incorrect __init annotation on pxa27x_set_pwrmodeArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
The z2 machine calls pxa27x_set_pwrmode() in order to power off the machine, but this function gets discarded early at boot because it is marked __init, as pointed out by kbuild: WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x145c4): Section mismatch in reference from the function z2_power_off() to the function .init.text:pxa27x_set_pwrmode() The function z2_power_off() references the function __init pxa27x_set_pwrmode(). This is often because z2_power_off lacks a __init annotation or the annotation of pxa27x_set_pwrmode is wrong. This removes the __init section modifier to fix rebooting and the build error. 2015-09-05rtc: pxa: convert to use shared sa1100 functionsRob Herring1-1/+0
Currently, the rtc-sa1100 and rtc-pxa drivers co-exist as rtc-pxa has a superset of functionality. Having 2 drivers sharing the same memory resource is not allowed by the driver model if resources are properly declared. This problem was avoided by not adding memory resources to the SA1100 RTC driver, but that prevents clean-up of the SA1100 driver. This commit converts the PXA RTC to use the exported SA1100 RTC functions. Now the sa1100-rtc and pxa-rtc devices are mutually exclusive, so we must remove the sa1100-rtc from pxa27x and pxa3xx. 2015-07-18ARM: pxa: transition to dmaengine phase 1Robert Jarzmik1-0/+1
In order to slowly transition pxa to dmaengine, the legacy code will now rely on dmaengine to request a channel. This implies that PXA architecture selects DMADEVICES and PXA_DMA, which is not pretty. Yet it enables PXA drivers to be ported one by one, with part of them using dmaengine, and the other part using the legacy code. Signed-off-by: Robert Jarzmik <robert.jarzmik@free.fr>
2015-05-12ARM: pxa: Transition pxa25x and pxa27x to clk frameworkRobert Jarzmik1-172/+2
Transition the PXA25x and PXA27x CPUs to the clock framework. This transition still enables legacy platforms to run without device tree as before, ie relying on platform data encoded in board specific files. The transition breaks the previous clocks activation of pin control (gpio11 and gpio12). Machine files should be amended to take that into account. This is the last step of clock framework transition for pxa25x and pxa27x, leaving only pxa3xx for further work. 2013-01-08ALSA: pxa27x: fix ac97 warm resetMike Dunn1-2/+2
This patch fixes some code that implements a work-around to a hardware bug in the ac97 controller on the pxa27x. A bug in the controller's warm reset functionality requires that the mfp used by the controller as the AC97_nRESET line be temporarily reconfigured as a generic output gpio (AF0) and manually held high for the duration of the warm reset cycle. This is what was done in the original code, but it was broken long ago by commit fb1bf8cd ([ARM] pxa: introduce processor specific pxa27x_assert_ac97reset()) which changed the mfp to a GPIO input instead of a high output. The fix requires the ac97 controller to obtain the gpio via gpio_request_one(), with arguments that configure the gpio as an output initially driven high. Tested on a palm treo 680 machine. Reportedly, this broken code only prevents a warm reset on hardware that lacks a pull-up on the line, which appears to be the case for me. 2011-06-24ARM: pm: hide 1st and 2nd arguments to cpu_suspend from platform codeRussell King1-2/+2
The first and second arguments shouldn't concern platform code, so hide them from each platforms caller. Tested-by: Kevin Hilman <khilman@ti.com> Acked-by: Jean Pihet <j-pihet@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2011-06-24ARM: pm: pxa: move cpu_suspend into C codeRussell King1-1/+10
We don't need a veneer for cpu_suspend, it can be called directly from C code now. Move it into the PXA CPU suspend functions, along with the accumulator register saving/restoring. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2011-04-24ARM / PXA: Use struct syscore_ops for "core" power managementRafael J. Wysocki1-19/+6
Replace sysdev classes and struct sys_device objects used for "core" power management by the PXA platform code with struct syscore_ops objects that are simpler. This reduces the code size and the kernel memory footprint. It also is necessary for removing sysdevs entirely from the kernel in the future. Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rjw@sisk.pl> Acked-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2011-04-13ARM: pxa: convert incorrect IRQ_TO_IRQ() to irq_to_gpio()Eric Miao1-1/+1
This fixes the failure to register the IRQ_RTCAlrm alarm as a wakeup event. It is misinterpreted as a gpio irq not a PWER bitmask. Fixed this by converting the incorrect IRQ_TO_IRQ() to a correct version of irq_to_gpio(). Reported-by: Nick Bane <nickbane1@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.y.miao@gmail.com>
2011-03-21ARM: pxa2xx: reorganize I2C filesSebastian Andrzej Siewior1-2/+1
This patch moves the platform data definition from arch/arm/plat-pxa/include/plat/i2c.h to include/linux/i2c/pxa-i2c.h so it can be accessed from x86 the same way as on ARM. This change should make no functional change to the PXA code. The move is verified by building the following defconfigs: cm_x2xx_defconfig corgi_defconfig em_x270_defconfig ezx_defconfig imote2_defconfig pxa3xx_defconfig spitz_defconfig zeus_defconfig raumfeld_defconfig magician_defconfig mmp2_defconfig pxa168_defconfig pxa910_defconfig Signed-off-by: Sebastian Andrzej Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Dirk Brandewie <dirk.brandewie@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
