2011-07-12ARM: pxa: add clk_set_rate()Haojian Zhuang1-0/+15
Since there're mulitple clock rates in some device controllers, enable clk_set_rate() for this usage. Signed-off-by: Haojian Zhuang <haojian.zhuang@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.y.miao@gmail.com>

2010-11-26ARM: 6483/1: arm & sh: factorised duplicated clkdev.cJean-Christop PLAGNIOL-VILLARD1-1/+1
factorise some generic infrastructure to assist looking up struct clks for the ARM & SH architecture. as the code is identical at 99% put the arch specific code for allocation as example in asm/clkdev.h Signed-off-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> Acked-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2010-02-12ARM: Consolidate clks_register() and similarRussell King1-8/+0
Most machine classes want some way to register a block of clk_lookup structures, and most do it by implementing a clks_register() type function which walks an array, or by open-coding a loop. Consolidate all this into clkdev_add_table(). 2009-06-04[ARM] 5536/1: Move clk_add_alias() to arch/arm/common/clkdev.cTony Lindgren1-17/+0
This can be used for other arm platforms too as discussed on the linux-arm-kernel list. Also check the return value with IS_ERR and return PTR_ERR as suggested by Russell King. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2009-03-19[ARM] pxa: make second argument of clk_add_alias a name instead of the deviceDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-2/+2
clk_add_alias is commonly called for platform devices that are not yet registered in the device tree. Thus the clock alias is associated with NULL device name. Fix this by passing the device name instead of just device pointer. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.miao@marvell.com>

2008-08-12[ARM] clocklib: Allow dynamic alias creationIan Molton1-0/+25
This patch allows dynamic creation of clock aliases in order to make it possible to have platform independent clock names for use in device drivers. Signed-off-by: Ian Molton <spyro@f2s.com>
2008-08-07[ARM] Move include/asm-arm/arch-* to arch/arm/*/include/machRussell King1-3/+3
This just leaves include/asm-arm/plat-* to deal with. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-08-07[ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King1-1/+1
Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-07-10Clocklib: Fix SA1111 clock name mess.Ian Molton1-30/+0
This patch uses the ability of PXA's clocklib to alias clock to resolve the problem caused by sharing the SA1111 IO controller between PXA and SA1100 architectures, which have differing GPIO numbering. Signed-off-by: Ian Molton <spyro@f2s.com>

2008-07-09[ARM] pxa: allow clk aliasesRussell King1-0/+3
We need to support more than one name+device for a struct clk for a small number of peripherals. We do this by re-using struct clk alias to another struct clk - IOW, if we find that the entry we're using is an alias, we return the aliased entry not the one we found. 2008-06-02[ARM] pxa: separate out power manager and clock registersRussell King1-1/+1
The power manager and core clock registers aren't present in PXA3 CPUs. Move them out of pxa-regs.h into pxa2xx-regs.h, and include pxa2xx-regs.h where necessary. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-04-19[ARM] pxa: separate GPIOs and their mode definitions to pxa2xx-gpio.heric miao1-0/+1
two reasons: 1. GPIO namings and their mode definitions are conceptually not part of the PXA register definitions 2. this is actually a temporary move in the transition of PXA2xx to use MFP-alike APIs (as what PXA3xx is now doing), so that legacy code will still work and new code can be added in step by step Signed-off-by: eric miao <eric.miao@marvell.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-02-17[ARM] pxa: fix clock lookup to find specific device clocksRussell King1-7/+16
Ensure that the clock lookup always finds an entry for a specific device and ID before it falls back to finding just by ID. This fixes a problem reported by Holger Schurig where the BTUART was assigned the wrong clock.
