2014-09-04ARM: cns3xxx: fix allmodconfig panic in pci driverXia Kaixu1-0/+1
The kernel panic occurs when running an allmodconfig kernel on OMAP4460. The inicall "cns3xxx_pcie_init" does not check which hardware it's running on and just tries to access to its specific registers. Now call it from .init_late callback from the two machine descriptors. 2014-03-17CNS3xxx: Fix a WARN() related to IRQ allocation.Krzysztof Hałasa1-1/+0
WARNING: at drivers/irqchip/irq-gic.c:952 gic_init_bases+0xe4/0x2b8() Cannot allocate irq_descs @ IRQ16, assuming pre-allocated Backtrace: gic_init_bases from cns3xxx_init_irq+0x24/0x34 cns3xxx_init_irq from init_IRQ+0x24/0x2c init_IRQ from start_kernel+0x1a8/0x338 start_kernel from 0x2000806c The problem is that 64 CNS3xxx CPU interrupts, starting at 32, are allocated by the ARM platform-independent code (as requested by machine_desc->nr_irqs = 96), and then the GIC code tries to allocate them again. Tested on Gateworks Laguna board, masqueraded as CNS3420VB. Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Hałasa <khalasa@piap.pl> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2013-03-14ARM: cns3xxx: enable sparse IRQ supportArnd Bergmann1-0/+1
This trivially enables sparse IRQ on cns3xxx by moving the nr_irqs definition from mach/irqs.h into the machine descriptor. These interrupts will still get statically assigned, so nothing changes here. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2013-03-14ARM: cns3xxx: make mach header files localArnd Bergmann1-3/+2
The mach/cns3xxx.h and mach/pm.h header files are used only in the platform code itself, so there is no need to make them globally visible. This gets us closer to multiplatform configuration for cns3xxx. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>

2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren1-1/+1
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. 2012-10-31USB: EHCI: remove ehci_port_power() routineAlan Stern1-1/+0
This patch (as1623) removes the ehci_port_power() routine and all the places that call it. There's no reason for ehci-hcd to change the port power settings; the hub driver takes care of all that stuff. There is one exception: When the controller is resumed from hibernation or following a loss of power, the ports that are supposed to be handed over to a companion controller must be powered on first. Otherwise the handover won't work. This process is not visible to the hub driver, so it has to be handled in ehci-hcd. 2012-10-22ARM: cns3xxx: use OHCI platform driverFlorian Fainelli1-5/+13
This patch converts the cns3xxx platform to use the ohci-platform driver which is now suitable for use. A previous patch converted the cns3xxx platform to use the ehci-platform driver, and thus introduced the need to have power_{on,off} callbacks. Since both the EHCI and OHCI platform drivers use the same same power_{on,off} callbacks now, rename them to cns3xx_usb_power_{on,off} to show that they are shared. 2012-10-22ARM: cns3xxx: use ehci platform driverFlorian Fainelli1-1/+43
This patch converts the cns3xxx platform to use the ehci-platform driver instead of the ehci-cns3xxx platform driver. The ehci-platform driver is provided with power_{on,off} callbacks to ensure proper block gating and USB configuration of the EHCI controller. 2011-07-07ARM: cns3xxx: Add support for L2 Cache ControllerAnton Vorontsov1-0/+2
CNS3xxx SOCs have L310-compatible cache controller, so let's use it. With this patch benchmarking with 'gzip' shows that performance is doubled, and I'm still able to boot full-fledged userland over NFS (using PCIe NIC), so the support should be pretty robust. p.s. While CNS3xxx reports that it has PL310, it still needs to wait on cache line operations, so we should not select 'CACHE_PL310', which is a micro-optimization that removes these waits for v7 CPUs. Someday we'd better rename CACHE_PL310 Kconfig option into NO_CACHE_WAIT or something less ambiguous. Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@mvista.com>
