2021-06-11ARM: dts: omap2/3: Drop dmas property from I2C nodeVignesh Raghavendra1-4/+0
DMA was never supported by i2c-omap driver and the bindings were never documented. Therefore drop the entries in preparation to moving bindings to YAML schema. 2021-05-27ARM: dts: OMAP2+: Replace underscores in sub-mailbox node namesSuman Anna1-1/+1
A number of sub-mailbox node names in various OMAP2+ dts files are currently using underscores. This is not adhering to the node name convention, fix all of these to use hiphens. These nodes are already using the prefix mbox, so they will be in compliance with the sub-mailbox node name convention being added in the OMAP Mailbox YAML binding as well. 2020-05-19ARM: dts: Configure system timers for ti81xxTony Lindgren1-13/+65
We can now init system timers using the dmtimer and 32k counter based on only devicetree data and drivers/clocksource timers. Let's configure the clocksource and clockevent, and drop the old unused platform data. As we're just dropping platform data, and the early platform data init is based on the custom ti,hwmods property, we want to drop both the platform data and ti,hwmods property in a single patch. Since the dmtimer can use both 32k clock and system clock as the source, let's also configure the SoC specific default values. The board specific dts files can reconfigure these with assigned-clocks and assigned-clock-parents as needed. Note that for ti81xx, also timer1 is of type 2 unlike on am335x where timer1 is type1 while the rest of the timers are type 2. 2020-03-17ARM: OMAP2+: Drop legacy platform data for ti81xx edmaTony Lindgren1-5/+0
We can now probe devices with ti-sysc interconnect driver and dts data. Let's drop the related platform data and custom ti,hwmods dts property. As we're just dropping data, and the early platform data init is based on the custom ti,hwmods property, we want to drop both the platform data and ti,hwmods property in a single patch. 2020-03-17ARM: dts: Configure interconnect target module for ti816x edmaTony Lindgren1-18/+135
We can now probe devices with device tree only configuration using ti-sysc interconnect target module driver. Let's configure edma for dm816x similar to what we have for dm814x. Let's initially keep the legacy "ti,hwmods" peroperty, it will be removed for all ti81xx in a later patch. Note that as we now also start using the clkctrl clock binding on dm816x, the board specific dts files must also have compatible "ti,dm816". This is needed for the clkctrl clocks to probe properly, so any out of tree dts files may need to be updated accordingly. 2017-07-05ARM: dts: dm816x: Correct NAND support nodesTom Rini1-1/+1
The ELM node in dm816x.dtsi needs to declare the correct compatible value here as per the binding only one value is correct, and the current driver handles it correctly. We then add pinmux information for the NAND found on the EVM so that we do not rely on the ROM to do this for us, and also so that we do not try and probe NAND before we probe the ELM. 2016-12-27ARM: dts: dm816x: Add an empty chosen node to top level DTSIJavier Martinez Canillas1-0/+1
Commit 06bfb9c19957 ("ARM: dts: dm816x: Remove skeleton.dtsi usage") removed the skeleton.dtsi usage since we want to get rid of it. But this can cause issues when booting a kernel with a boot-loader that doesn't create a chosen node if this isn't present in the DTB since the decompressor relies on a pre-existing chosen node to be available to insert the command line and merge other ATAGS info. These also applies to ARM and it will also allow to get rid of the following DTC warnings in the future: "Node /memory has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name" The disassembled DTB are almost the same besides an empty chosen node being removed and nodes reordered, so it should not have functional changes. 2015-03-18ARM: dts: Fix gpio interrupts for dm816xTony Lindgren1-4/+14
Commit 7800064ba507 ("ARM: dts: Add basic dm816x device tree configuration") added basic devices for dm816x, but I was not able to test the GPIO interrupts earlier until I found some suitable pins to test with. We can mux the MMC card detect and write protect pins from SD_SDCD and SD_SDWP mode to use a normal GPIO interrupts that are also suitable for the MMC subsystem. This turned out several issues that need to be fixed: - I set the GPIO type wrong to be compatible with omap3 instead of omap4. The GPIO controller on dm816x has EOI interrupt register like omap4 and am335x. - I got the GPIO interrupt numbers wrong as each bank has two and we only use one. They need to be set up the same way as on am335x. - The gpio banks are missing interrupt controller related properties. With these changes the GPIO interrupts can be used with the MMC card detect pin, so let's wire that up. Let's also mux all the MMC lines for completeness while at it. For the first GPIO bank I tested using GPMC lines temporarily muxed to GPIOs on the dip switch 10. 2015-02-24ARM: dts: Fix USB dts configuration for dm816xTony Lindgren1-4/+30
Commit 7800064ba507 ("ARM: dts: Add basic dm816x device tree configuration") added basic devices for dm816x, but I was not able to test the USB completely because of an unconfigured USB phy, and I only tested it to make sure the Mentor chips are detected and clocked without a phy. After testing the USB with actual devices I noticed a few issues that should be fixed to avoid confusion: - The USB id pin on dm8168-evm is hardwired and can be changed only by software. As there are two USB-A type connectors, let's start both in host mode instead of otg. - The Mentor core is configured in such a way on dm8168-evm that it's not capable of multipoint at least on revision c board that I have. - We need ranges for the syscon to properly set up the phy as children of the SCM syscon area. - Let's not disable the second interface, the board specific dts files can do that if really needed. Most boards should just keep it enabled to ensure the device is idled properly. Note that also a phy and several musb fixes are still needed to make the USB to work properly in addition to this fix. 2015-01-28ARM: dts: Fix dm816x pinctrl and syscon so they are children of SCMTony Lindgren1-15/+20
Looks like I only got half done with moving pinctrl and syscon to be children of the SCM. I've set up the FAPLL clocks that way already, but did not complete the job as I copied the syscon values from am33xx.dtsi. To make sure the syscon mapping works, I've verfified that we can set up davinci_emac mac address the same way as cpsw already does with the syscon mapping. So let's add that too. 2015-01-19ARM: dts: Add basic clocks for dm816xTony Lindgren1-0/+1
