The ti,j721e-ufs schema is missing an 'additionalProperties: false'. Add that and and the missing assigned-clock properties. Acked-by: Vignesh Raghavendra <vigneshr@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2020-05-14dt-bindings: ufs: ti: Fix address properties handlingRob Herring1-21/+36
The ti,j721e-ufs schema and example have a couple of problems related to address properties. First, the default #size-cells and #address-cells are 1 for examples, so they need to be overriden with a bus node. Second, address translation for the child ufs node is broken because 'ranges', '#address-cells', and '#size-cells' are missing from the schema. 2019-04-17dt-bindings: phy: qcom-ufs: Add resets propertyEvan Green1-1/+4
Add a resets property to the PHY that represents the PHY reset register in the UFS controller itself. This better describes the complete specification of the PHY, and allows the PHY to perform its initialization in a single function, rather than relying on back-channel sequencing of initialization through the PHY framework. 2019-02-19scsi: dt-bindings: ufs: Add HI3670 UFS controller bindingManivannan Sadhasivam1-2/+3
Add devicetree binding for HI3670 UFS controller. HI3760 SoC is very similar to HI3660 SoC with almost same IPs. Only major difference in terms of UFS is the PHY. HI3670 has 10nm PHY. But since the original driver (HI3660 UFS) cannot make HI3670 UFS functional, a separate compatible is added for HI3670 without any fallback. 2019-02-08scsi: dt-bindings: ufs: Fix the compatible string definitionDouglas Anderson1-5/+8
If you look at the bindings for the UFS Host Controller it says: - compatible: must contain "jedec,ufs-1.1" or "jedec,ufs-2.0", may also list one or more of the following: "qcom,msm8994-ufshc" "qcom,msm8996-ufshc" "qcom, ufshc" My reading of that is that it's fine to just have either of these: 1. "qcom,msm8996-ufshc", "jedec,ufs-2.0" 2. "qcom, ufshc", "jedec,ufs-2.0" As far as I can tell neither of the above is actually a good idea. For #1 it turns out that the driver currently only keys off the compatible string "qcom, ufshc" so it won't actually probe. For #2 the driver won't probe but it's not a good idea to keep the SoC name out of the compatible string. Let's update the compatible string to make it really explicit. We'll include a nod to the existing driver and the old binding and say that we should always include the "qcom, ufshc" string in addition to the SoC compatible string. While we're at it we'll also include another example SoC known to have UFS: sdm845. 2017-01-27phy: qcom-ufs: Remove -always-on propertyBjorn Andersson1-1/+0
The fact that a regulator is always-on is a property of the regulator, not a specific consumer. Implementing this in the driver leads to a system behaviour that is dependent on if the Qualcomm UFS PHY was ever (partially) probed. If the specific regulator should be always on in a particular device, mark it so by specifying "regulator-always-on" in the regulator node. This change turns the UFS variant (SCSI_UFS_QCOM) into a UFS a platform device. In order to do so a few additional changes are required: 1. The ufshcd-pltfrm is no longer serves as a platform device. Now it only serves as a group of platform APIs such as PM APIs (runtime suspend/resume, system suspend/resume etc), parsers of clocks, regulators and pm_levels from DT. 2. What used to be the old platform "probe" is now "only" a pltfrm_init() routine, that does exactly the same, but only being called by the new probe function of the UFS variant.
