2022-04-25dt-bindings: reserved-memory: Support MTD/block deviceVincent Whitchurch1-0/+47
Add bindings to allow MTD/block devices to be used in reserved-memory regions using the "phram" (MTD in PHysical RAM) driver. This allows things like partitioning to be specified via the existing devicetree bindings. 2022-02-24dt-bindings: reserved-memory: Add restricted-dma-pool constraintsRobin Murphy1-0/+10
The "restricted-dma-pool" definition prohibits combination with either of the "no-map" and "reusable" properties, but this is only stated in the description text. 2022-02-04dt-bindings: reserved-memory: Open Profile for DICEDavid Brazdil1-0/+46
Add DeviceTree bindings for Open Profile for DICE, an open protocol for measured boot. Firmware uses DICE to measure the hardware/software combination and generates Compound Device Identifier (CDI) certificates. These are stored in memory and the buffer is described in the DT as a reserved memory region compatible with 'google,open-dice'. 'no-map' is required to ensure the memory region is never treated by the kernel as system memory. 2021-03-31pstore: Add mem_type property DT parsing supportMukesh Ojha1-2/+8
There could be a scenario where we define some region in normal memory and use them store to logs which is later retrieved by bootloader during warm reset. In this scenario, we wanted to treat this memory as normal cacheable memory instead of default behaviour which is an overhead. Making it cacheable could improve performance. This commit gives control to change mem_type from Device tree, and also documents the value for normal memory. 2016-11-15ramoops: Split ftrace buffer space into per-CPU zonesJoel Fernandes1-0/+3
If the RAMOOPS_FLAG_FTRACE_PER_CPU flag is passed to ramoops pdata, split the ftrace space into multiple zones depending on the number of CPUs. This speeds up the performance of function tracing by about 280% in my tests as we avoid the locking. The trade off being lesser space available per CPU.
