2020-04-24dt-bindings: phy: qcom-qusb2: Fix defaultsDouglas Anderson1-3/+3
The defaults listed in the bindings don't match what the code is actually doing. Presumably existing users care more about keeping existing behavior the same, so change the bindings to match the code in Linux. The "qcom,preemphasis-level" default has been wrong for quite a long time (May 2018). The other two were recently added. As some evidence that these values are wrong, this is from the Linux driver: - qcom,preemphasis-level: sets "PORT_TUNE1", lower 2 bits. Driver programs PORT_TUNE1 to 0x30 by default and (0x30 & 0x3) = 0. - qcom,bias-ctrl-value: sets "PLL_BIAS_CONTROL_2", lower 6 bits. Driver programs PLL_BIAS_CONTROL_2 to 0x20 by default and (0x20 & 0x3f) = 0x20 = 32. - qcom,hsdisc-trim-value: sets "PORT_TUNE2", lower 2 bits. Driver programs PORT_TUNE2 to 0x29 by default and (0x29 & 0x3) = 1. Fixes: 1e6f134eb67a ("dt-bindings: phy: qcom-qusb2: Add support for overriding Phy tuning parameters") Fixes: a8b70ccf10e3 ("dt-bindings: phy-qcom-usb2: Add support to override tuning values") Signed-off-by: Douglas Anderson <dianders@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Matthias Kaehlcke <mka@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>

2020-04-16dt-bindings: Clean-up schema indentation formattingRob Herring1-1/+1
Fix various inconsistencies in schema indentation. Most of these are list indentation which should be 2 spaces more than the start of the enclosing keyword. This doesn't matter functionally, but affects running scripts which do transforms on the schema files. 2020-04-14docs: dt: fix broken reference to phy-cadence-torrent.yamlMauro Carvalho Chehab1-1/+1
This file was removed, and another file was added instead of it, on two separate commits. Splitting a single logical change (doc conversion) on two patches is a bad thing, as it makes harder to discover what crap happened. Anyway, this patch fixes the broken reference, making it pointing to the new location of the file. 2020-03-31dt-bindings: Add missing 'additionalProperties: false'Rob Herring5-0/+10
Setting 'additionalProperties: false' is frequently omitted, but is important in order to check that there aren't extra undocumented properties in a binding. Ideally, we'd just add this automatically and make this the default, but there's some cases where it doesn't work. For example, if a common schema is referenced, then properties in the common schema aren't part of what's considered for 'additionalProperties'. Also, sometimes there are bus specific properties such as 'spi-max-frequency' that go into bus child nodes, but aren't defined in the child node's schema. So let's stick with the json-schema defined default and add 'additionalProperties: false' where needed. This will be a continual review comment and game of wack-a-mole. 2020-03-13dt-bindings: phy: tegra: Add Tegra194 supportJC Kuo1-0/+18
Extend the bindings to cover the set of features found in Tegra194. Note that, technically, there are four more supplies connected to the XUSB pad controller (DVDD_PEX, DVDD_PEX_PLL, HVDD_PEX and HVDD_PEX_PLL) , but the power sequencing requirements of Tegra194 require these to be under the control of the PMIC. Tegra194 XUSB PADCTL supports up to USB 3.1 Gen 2 speed, however, it is possible for some platforms have long signal trace that could not provide sufficient electrical environment for Gen 2 speed. This patch adds a "maximum-speed" property to usb3 ports which can be used to specify the maximum supported speed for any particular USB 3.1 port. For a port that is not capable of SuperSpeedPlus, "maximum-speed" property should carry "super-speed". This is an optional GPIO, if specified will be used to swap lane 0 and lane 1 based on GPIO status. This is required to achieve plug flip support for USB Type-C. Type-C companions typically need some time after the cable is plugged before and before they reflect the correct status of Type-C plug orientation on the DIR line. Type-C Spec specifies CC attachment debounce time (tCCDebounce) of 100 ms (min) to 200 ms (max). Allow the DT node to specify the time (in ms) that we need to wait before sampling the DIR line.
