Fix up inconsistent usage of upper and lowercase letters in "Samsung" name. "SAMSUNG" is not an abbreviation but a regular trademarked name. Therefore it should be written with lowercase letters starting with capital letter. Although advertisement materials usually use uppercase "SAMSUNG", the lowercase version is used in all legal aspects (e.g. on Wikipedia and in privacy/legal statements on https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/privacy-global/). 2019-12-17regulator: bd71828: Basic support for ROHM bd71828 PMIC regulatorsMatti Vaittinen3-0/+825
ROHM BD71828 is a power management IC containing 7 bucks and 7 LDOs. Bucks 1,2,6 and 7 can be assigned to a regulator group controlled by run-levels. Eg. Voltages and enable/disable statuses for specific run-levels (run0 to run3) can be set via register interface and run level changes can then be done either via I2C or GPIO. This initial commit does not support assigning bucks to be controlled via run-levels but only allows them to be individually controlled. LDO5 voltage can also be controlled by GPIO2 pin and register interfaces but this driver only supports the control via register. 2019-12-09regulator: rk808: Lower log level on optional GPIOs being not availableMiquel Raynal1-1/+1
RK808 can leverage a couple of GPIOs to tweak the ramp rate during DVS (Dynamic Voltage Scaling). These GPIOs are entirely optional but a dev_warn() appeared when cleaning this driver to use a more up-to-date gpiod API. At least reduce the log level to 'info' as it is totally fine to not populate these GPIO on a hardware design. This change is trivial but it is worth not polluting the logs during bringup phase by having real warnings and errors sorted out correctly. The mode of a file might change between when it is opened and IO commences, or it might be created with an arbitrary mode. We had cases in the previous patch where we were sending the security descriptor context on SMB3 open (file create) in cases when we hadn't mounted with with "modefromsid" mount option. 2019-12-07pipe: don't use 'pipe_wait() for basic pipe IOLinus Torvalds1-3/+27
pipe_wait() may be simple, but since it relies on the pipe lock, it means that we have to do the wakeup while holding the lock. That's unfortunate, because the very first thing the waked entity will want to do is to get the pipe lock for itself. So get rid of the pipe_wait() usage by simply releasing the pipe lock, doing the wakeup (if required) and then using wait_event_interruptible() to wait on the right condition instead. wait_event_interruptible() handles races on its own by comparing the wakeup condition before and after adding itself to the wait queue, so you can use an optimistic unlocked condition for it.
