2019-06-28ASoC: fsl: imx-sgtl5000: consider CPU-Platform possibilityKuninori Morimoto1-1/+4
commit 82bf78ca49a3 ("ASoC: fsl: imx-sgtl5000: don't select unnecessary Platform") Current ALSA SoC avoid to add duplicate component to rtd, and this driver was selecting CPU component as Platform component. Thus, above patch removed Platform settings from this driver, because it assumed these are same component. But, some CPU driver is using generic DMAEngine, in such case, both CPU component and Platform component will have same of_node/name. In other words, there are some components which are different but have same of_node/name. In such case, Card driver definitely need to select Platform even though it is same as CPU. It is depends on CPU driver, but is difficult to know it from Card driver. This patch reverts above patch. 2014-02-10ASoC: fsl: fix pm support of machine driversShawn Guo1-4/+6
The commit 1abe729 (ASoC: fsl: Add missing pm to current machine drivers) enables pm support for a few IMX machine drivers. But it does not update dev drvdata to be the pointer to 'card'. This causes the kernel dump below in system suspend, because snd_soc_suspend() expects that the dev drvdata points to 'card', while it still points to the private data of machine driver. This patch fixes imx-sgtl5000 and imx-wm8962 by attaching 'card' to dev drvdata and private data to card drvdata. For imx-mc13783, I simply revert the pm change because it must be broken for the same reason and I don't have hardware to test pm enabling code. $ echo mem > /sys/power/state PM: Syncing filesystems ... done. 2013-08-23i2c: move OF helpers into the coreWolfram Sang1-1/+1
I2C of helpers used to live in of_i2c.c but experience (from SPI) shows that it is much cleaner to have this in the core. This also removes a circular dependency between the helpers and the core, and so we can finally register child nodes in the core instead of doing this manually in each driver. So, fix the drivers and documentation, too. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-07-16ASoC: imx-sgtl5000: fix error return code in imx_sgtl5000_probe()Wei Yongjun1-1/+3
Fix to return a negative error code from the error handling case instead of 0, as done elsewhere in this function. Signed-off-by: Wei Yongjun <yongjun_wei@trendmicro.com.cn> Acked-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2013-07-04ASoC: imx-sgtl5000: return E_PROBE_DEFER if ssi/codec not foundArnaud Patard (Rtp)1-2/+2
If the ssi or codec drivers are not loaded (for instance, because spi or i2c bus drivers are not loaded), returning -EINVAL will for people to unload and then reload the module to get sound working. Returning E_PROBE_DEFER will mitigate this. Signed-off-by: Arnaud Patard <arnaud.patard@rtp-net.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2013-06-12ASoC: imx-sgtl5000: Use devm_clk_get()Fabio Estevam1-1/+1
Commit 9e13f345 (ASoC: sgtl5000: Let the codec acquire its clock) removed the clk_put calls. Let's use devm_clk_get() instead, so that we do not need to call them anymore. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2013-06-10ASoC: sgtl5000: Let the codec acquire its clockFabio Estevam1-23/+7
On a mx6qsabrelite board the following error happens on probe: sgtl5000: probe of 0-000a failed with error -5 imx-sgtl5000 sound.13: ASoC: CODEC (null) not registered imx-sgtl5000 sound.13: snd_soc_register_card failed (-517) platform sound.13: Driver imx-sgtl5000 requests probe defer Prior to reading the codec ID we need to turn the SYS_MCLK clock, so let's enable the codec clock inside sgtl5000_i2c_probe(). Also remove the codec clock enable/disable functions from the machine driver. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@linaro.org>
2013-05-15ASoC: fsl: remove use of imx-pcm-audio from fsl_ssiShawn Guo1-1/+1
Rather than instantiating imx-pcm-audio to call imx_pcm_dma_init(), fsl_ssi can just directly call it to save the use of imx-pcm-audio. With this change, fsl_ssi becomes not only a cpu DAI but also a platform device, so updates platform device setup in imx-sgtl5000 accordingly. 2013-05-12ASoC: imx-sgtl5000: Do not enter the error path on successFabio Estevam1-0/+5
Return on success instead of entering the error path. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Acked-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2013-03-25ASoC: imx-sgtl5000: use of_node to match cpu daiShawn Guo1-1/+1
Since imx-sgtl5000 is only used on DT platform, it makes more sense to use cpu_of_node rather than cpu_dai_name to match cpu dai. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2012-12-10ASoC: fsl: remove __dev* attributesBill Pemberton1-3/+3
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. Signed-off-by: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2012-11-23ASoC: imx-sgtl5000: prevent module from being unloaded when in useLothar Waßmann1-0/+1
set the 'onwer' field of the registered snd_soc_card object to prevent removal of the module when its resources are in use. Signed-off-by: Lothar Waßmann <LW@KARO-electronics.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2012-08-20ASoC: imx-sgtl5000: fix error return codeJulia Lawall1-1/+1
Initialize ret on the second call to imx_audmux_v2_configure_port so that the subsequent test checks that result and not the previous one. A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> ( if@p1 (\(ret < 0\|ret != 0\)) { ... return ret; } | ret@p1 = 0 ) ... when != ret = e1 when != &ret *if(...) { ... when != ret = e2 when forall return ret; } // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2012-07-05ASoC: fsl: remove unneeded AUDMUX register setting from imx-sgtl5000Hui Wang1-2/+1
If we don't set IMX_AUDMUX_V2_PTCR_TCLKDIR in the AUDMUX PTCR register (means Tx clock pin is input), we don't need to set IMX_AUDMUX_V2_PTCR_TCSEL as well. Since both i.MX35, i.MX51 and i.MX6 datasheet says "When Tx clock pin set as an input, the TCSEL settings are ignored". 2012-04-27ASoC: fsl: add sgtl5000 clock support for imx-sgtl5000Richard Zhao1-8/+32
